About Groupe DMV

GROUPE DMV is a group of some sixty shareholders, all animal health professionals, which has been in existence for 29 years (1993) and operates 3 emergency reference and veterinary speciality centres in the Montreal region: CENTREDMVET Blainville, CENTREDMVET St-Hubert and CENTREDMVET Montreal (Lachine). GROUPE DMV is also co-shareholder and operator of a hospital centre of the same model in the Ottawa region (Ottawa Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital).

Project Description

As a specialist veterinary centre, the DMV does not have direct access to pet owners, but only through referrals from family vets. In order to be referred, it is essential that communication between the pet, the pet owner, the family vet and the specialist vet is fluid and rapid. The connectDMVET web and mobile solution was created with this in mind, a chat tool between the various stakeholders involved in pet health.
Our 1st challenge was to put together a complete development team comprising a project manager, a business analyst, a UI/UX designer, a scrum master, 7 developers (....), 2 QA.

The 2nd step was to train the client in the scrum methodology, with the explanation and implementation of the various ceremonies, the short 2-week development cycle and the need to be two sprints ahead of the product backlog.

ConnectDMVET is not just an application that manages more than 2,000 cat tickets a day, it is the essential gateway for pet owners into the world of the DMVET Group, boosting loyalty by more than 20%. For family vets, it has become an indispensable tool enabling them to ask more complex questions in real time to the specialists at DMVET centres.
