Project Description
The initial aim of the Omnivore project was to develop an aesthetically appealing, transactional website for the Omnivore restaurant chain. The owner wanted a site that was easy to integrate with Uber Eats and could be easily used by a non-technical system administrator to update prices, products and promotional offers. To meet this need, we put together a team consisting of an html/Javascript developer and a UI/UX designer for the mock-ups.
As the owner opened new restaurants, another requirement arose: to develop a mobile application for stock management in the ingredients warehouse, including management of restaurant orders and real-time tracking of deliveries between different restaurants.
We finally implemented a point-of-sale (POS) system, followed by a remote ordering and payment system without contact with the servers, in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic.
